Get to Know Us

Athlete Recovery Fund (ARF) began in 2007 when BMX professional Stephen Murray was injured while competing.  Starting a fundraiser and learning along the way what he had to go through forced me to act so that there would be help for others in the future.

Over the past 10 years helping dozens of athletes dealing with ER and Trauma rooms, doctors, nurses, insurance companies, rehab facilities and more ARF can provide priceless knowledge and guidance in these incredibly difficult situations.

One Step At A Time

If you are admitted into ER or a Trauma care unit it can be overwhelming for the family.  Knowing what to ask doctors and nurses puts you a step ahead of the injury and a step closer to recovery.  In many cases doctors don't have any positive information to share and ARF will help you understand the terminology and details of your situation.  ARF has an acute knowledge of dealing with Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury and a number of Orthopedic needs.

Many times insurance companies will do the minimum they can get away with.  ARF helps to investigate claims and review policy coverage.  Over the years we have saved athletes hundreds of thousands of dollars just by understanding the system.

In the world of GoFundMe and crowdfunding there are seemingly simple options available that could have detrimental effects down the road.  Before you or a family members starts any fundraising consult with ARF to better understand the pro's and con's and different ways to accomplish assistance with your bills.
